Microsoft Says No March Security Updates
In a rare turn of events, Microsoft will not be issuing any critical security updates for the month of March. Scheduled to be released on March 13th, 2007, only the Malicious Software Removal Tool will be updated.
On the Microsoft Security Response Center blog is the following statement:
“For the month of March 2007, we will not be releasing any new security updates on March 13, 2007.
We will though be making our regular monthly update to the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
We also will be releasing two high-priority non-security updates through Windows Update and Software Update Services and four high priority non-security updates through Microsoft Update and Windows Server Update Services.”
This is rather strange since it is the first time in 18 months that no patches will have been released.
