03-07-07 - UPDATE - TRY THIS LINK TO DOWNLOAD THE BETA:
You can download it from here
I know that some of you have expressed an interest in beta testing software, and here is a opportunity to sign up, even before the product is released.
Lavasoft, the company that makes Ad-Aware anti-spyware products, is currently accepting applications to test their new Ad-Aware 2007 software which is going to be released this month. Requirements for testing the software are:
“There are no special requirements to be a beta tester; however Ad-Aware 2007 does not support Windows 98 or ME. We are looking for both experienced Ad-Aware users and newbies who may be seeing the product for the first time.”
So it seems most anyone will qualify.
If you are interested, sign up here.
Providing useful feedback may help you become noticed and get invited back at a later date, to private test software that is not released to the public. ![]()
Good luck.

Hello Len,
I would contact Lavasoft and see what the problem is. I do not personally issue any passwords for any beta programs.

OK - I just checked the Lavasoft server and saw where the problem is. Their server has crashed. Either from to many connections or some other type of hardware issue. Be patient. Give it a few days and try again.

Hi Paul,
I saw that also. I’m just wondering if the 4 day count down is disabled?
I did take a look around their website, no mention to register.

aaw sucks! I was going to run the beta ver because my old aaw ver6 free fails on downloading regfiles. they droped support aparently. now, aaw6 wants a user name and pw! by now it should be out of beta testing. there must be lots of bugs and obviously was not ready for prime time. they droped the ball and cant seem to find it…

I think it’s really bad that I can’t get a support person to respond, but your intermediary company, Elephant 5, is explaining how to copy and paste the serial number, and your instructions are not to do this, but to type the individual characters by hand, which I did repeatedly. Elephant 5 has insulted my intelligence multiple times, by automated response, by giving me this incorrect instruction. I don’t know why you have Elephant 5 when they are providing no useful function that I can see, other than providing a front and giving an appearance that customers have somewhere to go for support.
I paid for two copies of Ad-Aware Plus, and I was able to successfully complete the registration process on one PC but not the other. You have given me one bad serial number and one good one. I am tired, at this point, of trying to resolve this process by myself, with no technical support. Please respond, at least with a valid serial number.
