Free BootSafe – Windows SafeMode Made Easy – Reviewed

There are times when we users need to access Windows SafeMode, which is the diagnostic mode of Windows, that is used to attempt to repair issues that may plague our systems. And what is supposed to happen is that the user presses the F8 key repeatedly during the boot [startup] process, which then provides the user different options, including SafeMode.

SafeMode is also a great way to troubleshoot problems when normal mode fails to:

  • Remove spyware, adware and viruses that may have infected your PC.
  • Uninstall a program that is causing a problem.
  • Uninstall a patch or fix that is causing a problem.
  • Diagnosis other problems on the PC when other methods have failed.

Problem – what happens when no matter what you do, you can’t get into SafeMode? I had this problem once before on a system I owned. Frustrating.

To the rescue comes a Free software program called BootSafe. This tiny software program does not need to be installed on the system in order to function. In fact the program itself can be run from floppy, CD, DVD, or a thumb drive. And it is extremely easy to use. The writer of the software provides step by step instruction on his site on the use of the software.

And the author describes his product as:

“BootSafe takes the hassle out of rebooting in Safe Mode or back to Normal mode. BootSafe is 100% free and contains no adware, spyware or malware! No more fighting with the F8 key or MSCONFIG!

And it’s FREE. So take a look here and see what you think. Enjoy.

When in SafeMode your screen will appear distorted and ugly looking. :-) This is normal. Once you return to normal mode all will be well again.
