Dell Laptop Computer - House Burns To The Ground - No Injuries

It looks like when it rains it pours. To add to Dells problems, it appears that a fire in Biddeford, Maine, may have been started by a laptop computer and that the brand name was a Dell. Though the official story doesn’t name the brand, it is now known that it was in fact a Dell, and that the owner of the laptop has tried to contact Dell and a resolution of what Dell is going to do has not been determined.

Hopefully with Michael Dell at the helm of the company, and with customer satisfaction at a all time low, I would expect that Dell MAY, have to provide some type of restitution. If not, they could sink themselves deeper into a death spiral heading down to the 3rd rung of the ladder.

The owner of the laptop also has stated that his laptop was not one of the ones recalled for battery replacement.

“Two parents and their young daughter lived at the residence.
“It looks like it was caused by a laptop (computer),” said Bellefeuille, adding that it may be related to the recent recall of laptop batteries because of a potential fire hazard. He said the Fire Marshall’s office is leaning towards the battery as a potential cause of the fire. The laptop was in use in earlier in the morning and was left charging on a couch when the fire is believed to have started, he said.

From that story, it says that it was charging on a couch. There are vents and rubber feet on the bottom of these for a reason….they need ventilation. If the owner did in fact just leave it sitting on the surface of the couch with nothing between, I don’t think that Dell would be to blame. I think that all reasonable use and safety considerations should be made by the owner first.

i am using dell laptop computer, not only the notebook but also battery are all very good. and the price is very low.

What Do You Think?
