AVG Anti-Virus Program – Make Sure You Upgrade To Version 7.5

Posted by on Feb 7, 2007 | 5 Comments

I received a comment this AM and the sender indicated that AVG Free edition was being discontinued on 02-18-2007. My brain raced trying to figure out what I was going to use for anti-virus protection on my 5 systems. Then I thought of what I was going to tell my friends and family whom I have convinced to use AVG.

A quick trip over to AVG’s site indicated that support for AVG Free Edition 7.1 was ending on 02-18-2007. Users should upgrade to version 7.5, which I did on all my systems many moons ago. Whew!

So if you are getting a notice indicating that AVG Free Edition is about to expire, just upgrade from this link and all will be well.

How do you know what version you are using? Almost every software product uses the same feature – click on HELP then from the drop down menu select ABOUT.
