Dell Inspiron Laptops - Faulty Screens Being Reported

A website has sprung up where Dell Inspiron users are gathering, because of alleged faulty displays that they claim are a defect in their Dell laptops. The effected computers were manufactured between March and May, 2005 and are limited to the Inspiron models only.
The problem: Seems that a 1 pixel line in various display colors appears vertically on the screen, distorting the image. And the posters allege that Dell has replaced some screens, mainly in Canada, but have ignored some 273 other requests whom the posters indicate have been ignored.
The posting on the web site that stands out is the following statement:
“Managers at Dell need to be made aware of this issue so that they can stop treating their loyal customers like dirt and replace the screens in a timely fashion.”
They are also asking anyone who is affected by this display abnormality to join their cause.
The Dell complaint web site is located here.
I hope they get their systems repaired.
