Symantec -Storm Virus - Quick Update

Symantec Corp issued a updated alert to the storm virus that has been infecting systems for the past week or so. It now seems that the virus is much worse than first suspected and is being touted as the worst outbreak since 2005. Symantec has posted a article on how the nasty is transmitted, including some of the current and past titles being sent by email.
The titles are:
- “A killer at 11, he’s free at 21 and kill again!
- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has kicked German Chancellor Angela Merkel
- British Muslims Genocide
- Naked teens attack home director.
- 230 dead as storm batters Europe.
- Re: Your text
- Radical Muslim drinking enemies’s blood.
- Chinese missile shot down Russian satellite
- Chinese missile shot down Russian aircraft
- Chinese missile shot down USA aircraft
- Chinese missile shot down USA satellite
- Russian missile shot down USA aircraft
- Russian missile shot down USA satellite
- Russian missile shot down Chinese aircraft
- Russian missile shot down Chinese satellite
- Saddam Hussein safe and sound!
- Saddam Hussein alive!
- Venezuelan leader: “Let’s the War beginning”.
- Fidel Castro dead.”
Just make sure your protections are up to date. Be careful out there in cyberland.

Well does the latest update of Norton dealing with this problem?

If you have kept your Norton anti-virus, or any anti-virus program updated, the protections should be in place.

Apparently, the antivirus software companies haven’t been able to find a cure for this virus and unless they find the person or persons responsible for this worm, then it most likely will grow and become stronger until the operator wants to instill his will. Just watch out for suspicious links
