Well right from the heart of the Midwest comes a new kid on the block called ChaCha (yes it’s the real name(, which offers conventional searches ala Google PLUS a guided search with real live people at the helm.

Here is what ChaCha offers. For those who are finding it hard to find information on the Internet, ChaCha has guides who are trained in locating the hard to find stuff that may slip through our fingers. These work from home guides provide you with hands on help and are able to communicate using a text screen next to the search hits. In theory, the guides should be able to find exactly what you are looking for.

What makes this guided service even better is that you can submit your question or search inquiry in plain language, and it is then submitted to all guides who are currently online. The hope is that one of the guides may be an expert or have knowledge in the field you are searching, and should be able to assist you directly.

ChaCha does admit that this service is currently in Beta (testing) and that it is limited on guides who may be available.
