Google – U.S. Government Search

Posted by on Dec 30, 2006 | 3 Comments

I just can’t get enough of Google and just when I think I know everything about it, something new pops up. If you are not aware (I wasn’t), Google has a specific search engine just for the U.S. Government.

And if you have ever searched any government site, you know how frustrating the search can become. Enter Google.

I was looking for specific information concerning HUD housing in our area. Doing a normal search, using any search engine, usually comes up with a ton of pay for information Web sites that – for a fee – will sell you the info.

Using Google Government search took me right to HUD and a listing of properties.

I think this service will become very handy when the tax man calls upon us as we approach April 15th. :-)

Give it a try here and see what you think.

Its amazing that it takes that much writing to explain how it works on apple.

Android: get barcode reader. Open app. Hold phone over any barcode

You are automagically transported to the desired site or asked if you want to add the contact.
