New Kid On The Block – Primary Response SafeConnect 2.1

Posted by on Dec 27, 2006 | 3 Comments

I read with heightened interest a recent review by PC Magazine, concerning a new product called Primary Response SafeConnect 2.1. This is a software product that works along side your current security protections and looks for unusual activity that could indicate a threat to the safety of you computer system.

Most virus and spyware programs work on the principal of supplying us with ‘definition’ updates to alert us to problems. The unfortunate thing is that these definitions are released to us by the major software vendors AFTER a problem occurs. So there is a delay between the attack and the cure. This means our systems are vulnerable during this time frame.

So I downloaded a copy and will be reporting back how will this new software works, in a few weeks. This is a 15 day trial only and a copy of the software download can be found here.

And the complete product review can be read here.

PC I searched around on the software manufactures web site and was unable to find a price for this software. Strange.

    Did it work? Primary Response?

    Hello Jonathan,

Thanks for reminding to do a follow-up. Nope. For some unknown reason, I had trouble using the program. After a week or so I had to uninstall it.

I’m not sure if it was a faulty install or corrupt file.

    Regards, Ron

    Jonathan,

    Give this product a try:
