Microsoft Security Response Center Posts New Warning

Today the Microsoft Security Response Center has posted a warning on its Web site and blog, warning of a possible new exploit. This new exploit involves all versions of Windows - including Vista.
Other postings on the Internet indicate that this new exploit has been placed on a Russian hacker forum. Because of this situation, Microsoft will be monitoring this exploit during the holidays.
But what is more important for all of us is to make sure that our anti-virus and anti-spyware software programs are in place and updated. And also that a firewall is in place and enabled.
