Google Finance - Beta

Google has another Free offering to add to your list. It’s Google Finance. It’s still in testing [beta], but it seems to to be functioning well. Google finance has a wide range of services, such as:
- News - latest market news with up to the minute updates
- Company search - by stock symbol or by name
- Interactive charts - which compares how a stock has done in relationship to a specific news item
- Blogs - citizen opinions
- Company management team - puts a face with a name of the person involved with a company
- Portfolios - keep track of your favorite investments
Overall the service being offered is clear and precise. The Google finance page has a good look and feel to. Information is easy to find and most importantly, it can be found quickly. But my overall impression is that it is not much different than some of the other internet web sites that do the same thing.
Take a look at Google Finance and see what you think. You will need a Google account to access the service.

A few questions from a blog idiot
How do you keep the spammers from eating you alive? i’ve seen blogs with nothing but spam postings.
How do you keep some left wing extremist from posting racist or defamatory rhetoric? and if you cant stop them, what are you legally liabel when they do?
can viruses be posted to blogs?

You may want to contact World Press who hosts the site. They should be able to provide additional information on the procedures they use to control spam, edit context and so forth.
