This is just a quick follow up to the original post about the Google and NASA announcement.

This sounds like fun. The agreement between Google and NASA involves sharing of information that should make our experience in space more exciting for those of us who are stuck on the ground. One of the features will allow all of us to experience a virtual flight over the Moon and Mars.

In addition, Google and NASA can demonstrate that the public and private sectors can work together for the common good of all. I think we are all going to be in for a great experience. Google Earth should be vastly improved with this additional technological shot in the arm by NASA. If you haven’t used Google Earth, you have to take it for a test ride. You will be in for a amazing treat.
