Now here is a loaded question - which online dating service is the best? It’s almost like asking which religion is the best. The opinions would be widely varied. But Consumer Reports took on this subject matter and came up with some surprising and revealing thoughts. The five popular dating services, eHarmony, Match.com, True, Yahoo! Personals, and American Singles were tested by an intern posing as a client as part of the experiment.
What was also revealing about the report was that Consumer Reports chose not to rank or rate the sites on the opinion of one single user, but rather noted the pluses and minuses of that user’s experience. I believe that is a very fair way of tackling a subject such as this, as each user’s experience would be varied.
The best advice I gleaned from the article - try the freebie services offered by these five before making a decision on which to use.

I personally preferred Match.com, that is, afterall where I met my wonderful husband almost 9 years ago!!!

Craigslist personals are just as good as any of the other personal sites I’ve tried. Plus it is already sorted into the city/ town/ area you are in.

I think millionairematch.com is suitable for me because I want to make friends with class and quality. I have met too many losers on other sites. It’s totally a waste of time.
