Easier and Safer Computing For All
WOW! During the past two weeks, the computing world has seen a number of updates, patches, and upgrades that hopefully will make our time spent on the computer a little easier and safer.
Microsoft released two updated products this past week. First came the release of Internet Explorer 7.0 and next came the final version of Windows Defender. Both products are designed to make surfing the Internet safer by filtering out rogue Web sites and prohibiting spyware from taking over our systems.
Internet Explorer 7.0 can be downloaded from here.
Windows Defender can be downloaded from here.
And Firefox (my favorite browse) also was updated this past week. The latest version now supports spell check which is a very handy feature for those of you who belong to forums. Firefox 2.0 can be downloaded from here.
And AVG updated its free version of its award winning anti-virus program from 7.1 to version 7.5. I have been using AVG for three years on my systems and have never had a infection yet. Get the latest version from here.
NOTE: Make sure you use the REPAIR option during installation if you are upgrading from a previous version.
That’s all for now. Happy Computing!
