Not Vista – But How About An Apple By Volkswagen?

Seems that Apple and Volkswagen are teaming up to create, yep, the “iCar”! Of all things crazy, this certainly takes the cake. While I normally don’t blog about Apple, and certainly never about Volkswagen, this was just too good to pass up.

Today, the AP reported German automanufacturer Volkswagen AG and U.S. computer company Apple, Inc. are having discussions about possibly building an “iCar,” which would include products by Apple.

Hans-Gerd Bode (a spokesman for VW) stated that Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs and Volkwagen’s chief Martin Winterkorn met several days ago in California. He also stated that they plan to meet again for further discussions.

Please, someone tell me that they are not going to hype this as much as they hyped the stupid iPhone! I can see it now: “NEW, the iCar! With a cool new user friendly interface!” or some crap like that – going on for months!

Just so you readers know: I don’t have an iPhone. I don’t want an iPhone. I don’t need an iPhone. I don’t have an iPod. I don’t want and iPod (well, maybe a little). I certainly don’t NEED an iPod. Why I (or anyone else) would want an iCar, I don’t know -but I’m sure that those that would also like to wear their pants down below their butts too – that or they are Chris Prillo fans! :)
