“Requires a windows live ID” - that one thing puts me off recommending it to any of my friends.

Personally I won’t be using it myself though - prefer to use other OSes for this task.

I’m less excited than I was - if your assertion that remote access is through the internet. That would seem to add another attack vector that will have to be guarded and worried about.

I have the beta image, didn’t set it up because of time constraints. Perhaps I will set it up and see what other nastiness there might be.

I completely agree! I am tired of every phone tech I speak to coming out of India with some pre-written script. These corporations are paying out slave labor wages to feed us sub level crap produced in other countries. The only solution is stop buying, until they change their practices.

My take was ‘the more things change, the more they stay the same’ and ‘no matter how we try to influence the world, life goes on’.

My favorite part was when the agent heard that Phil got whacked. He was rooting for Tony! More to show all of us that those who travel through this life aren’t really that different.

As I think abou it, Tony’s conversation with Paulie [to me] was more an acknowledgement of the fact we have things to do here, no matter what we believe our final destination is.

Certainly looks cool in the ads, doesn’t it? I really have nothing against Apple, but think they were rather backward in choosing a GSM carrier instead of CDMA, which is better in many ways. One of them is that not all GSM phones will keep the proper time, as they don’t automatically get it from the network, like CDMA phones do. Also, I’ve gotten used to being able to use my phone indoors and not worrying about dropouts or even the ability to initiate the call. These are concerns with GSM phones because of the frequencies used. I do know of what I speak, as I have sold Tmobile, Verizon, and Sprint phones for a number of years.
