So i have had a Pentium D bundle(Pentium D 820/D945Psn Intel mobo) in storage for about a Year, I got the Intel MOBO And Processor for a deal lol of should i say a steal from Intels web site . I am always so facinated at the bleeding edge’s of technology and for a while the pentium D was facinating the hell out of me . when i decided to start this build it came at a good time . My Rig at the time was running but i wanted more Power ARGH ARGH ARGH plus i still need to flex my Techy Wings so i grabbed the bundle and headed to Newegg where i found a rash of materials. I spent about 2 months finding out what i was gonna put in this system( i had it all picked out in about a day but i went mission control and rechecked everything 10 times…lol im kind of a perfectionist…) anyway what i had decided on was

2-lite-on 20X DVDRW Drives , 2gb of DDR 667 PQI turbo memory ,some Round IDE cables(casue they are cool and increase air flow ) and a Gigibyte geforce 7300 Gs

needless to say i got it all together and found that it ran hot really hot , way hotter then i imagined lol; so then i turned to cooling this thing of course. i hit the fourms and learned that these beasts love the heat by nature so i decided to seek out a appropriate CPu fan.. contemplated water cooling but my funds were too low at that point. i eventually picked up a 120 mm Zalman-CNPS7700-ALCU .. it did not do the job so i then went to modify the case airflow setup and placed 4-80mm fans running at 3000 rpms inside my case thats got the air moving..lol so now im running my system and it seems to me that the processor.” based on windows statistics analysis” is not cutting it. granted i push it alot and by push it i mean i burn a DVD rip a DVD Play Music have multiple windows open and watch a movie ..its a dual core its should be able to handle this and more … but it doesn’t it does not freeze but when i look it say both processors are running 100% while the memory is not at an elevated rate its gliding and stable under the load it is on i dont knwo what to do next accpet move up to the core 2 duo family which might be my only hope at this point to have a Pc that runs as Cool, Calm and Collected as me …
