Should I flip for a camcorder?

For as long as I’ve been on YouTube I’ve had to mainly use the direct upload method. While this works, the video quality is disastrous. To upload with my DV camera I have to film, upload to computer, upload to editing software, and then, finally, upload to YouTube. It works, but takes forever just to do a short vlog.
So, while browsing the net a bit, I fell upon one of the current tech holy grails, the Flip Camcorder. I’ve seen the good quality and have heard that uploading to YouTube is a snap, so should I “flip out” and purchase one? Seems great for having with me to record vlogs whenever the mood may strike.
