Gnome Crossing - Chris Pirillo Off The Leash

  • No Related Post

Not just a different drummer but a double drummer. A one man band determined to play metal trash can lids like cymbals. As Chris Pirillo would say “I have a number of opinions, maybe not all of them correct.” Picture this… Pirillo’s friend John Anthony Hartman is poking questions like a sharp stick, lighting the fuse under Napoleon’s powder keg. Not unlike shooting skeet while riding a bull; the result? A caffeinated infusion of rant meets rage then, out of nowhere father knows best on everything from what it means to be a good human to the love of his wife Ponzi.More “Chris the human” less Pirillo technocrat. So much so the Alpha Geek TV chat room was buzzing about a Chris they never knew. On this little outing we delved into the Gnomeister’s mind on subjects ranging from “If you could be any woman in the world, who would you be?” or “Who is the biggest asshole on the planet?” Keeping shared knowledge in the mix we do a full court press with “Who is the smartest individual you know personally?” or “Why is live streaming relevant?” And now my personal favorite, “You are on your death bed, taking your last breath, what would your last words be?” now we’re really going, Gnome arms hypnotically waving as edutainment advice spews forth “How are you integrating advertising across your internet properties?” Today in Seattle, that one brief moment in time… the feeling across the table was an older other world feel… we were marching to Pirillo.

Cool. I’ve been following Chris since the first days of Lockergnome (when was that? 1996? 1997?…whatever). I’m probably one of the original Gnomies. Would love to sit down with him over a couple of and talk geek, tell war stories.

My last words on my death bed? “I’ll be back!”

Cheers!

[...] We now have producers in 4 countries Sweden,USA, Japan and China. We are shipping gear to our D.C. corespondent and just did an interview with Chris Pirllo that I am still reeling from.I need to keep my head down and stay focused and this could be IT! I have been so negligent on blogging here and I know that only hurts me by not doing it, but this was one of the sacrifices, it always seems to turn out that way. However I am hoping that my situation changes very soon and that I can sit down and write here at least every couple of days. [...]
