Adobe Aims To Make Web Products

During the Web 2.0 Conference, Adobe announced that it will be aiming more at the development of Web-based services. The change will not happen any time soon, but should take place in the next few years.
“The desktop is a powerful, powerful machine in which to run applications. Broadband, as quick as it gets, is still going to have some limitations in the short term,” said Bruce Chizen, chief executive.
Adobe makes revenue from its sale of package software. Adobe offers some free versions of its software and Web-based of others. As broadband penetrates more corners of the world every day, consumers might not want to wait another ten years before being able to forgo retails copies of their favorite software packages.
