Hello, I’m sure your wondering How to make Good Grades to make your parents happy. It’s really not that difficult. I’m going to be giving you great studying tips that will get you better grades than you wished for. First, you must learn to quit texting/instant messaging/ watching television/ on the phone/ on the computer while you are studying. These habits are hard to break, I know because I used to do all of those things. Second, ACTUALLY STUDY!!! Look, many students I know don’t study, they just read the information one time and call it a day. That is not studying. Studying requires you to read the information more than once. That is right, don’t take 5min to read one paragraph and say you know every detail about it. If you sit down, for just one hour a day even, and study different sections you will make better grades. It has been proven that if you study 1 hour a day for 5 days you can make a better grade on a test then studying 5 hours one day. Make each hour a different section. Yes, you may think this is a waste of time. I used to. My teacher gave me these study tips and I boosted my grades from A-, B-, and C+ to Almost All A’s. I’m very close to an A in science. If you don’t have a subject you just don’t like (For me it’s intro to biology and chemistry) then spend more time on it and talk to your teacher after school or before school. Find sometime to get some extra time with that class. The class may be the most worthless class in the world that you will never do again in your life, but at that point in time it matters so do your best at it, then your done. If you need a tutor, get a tutor. After reading all this, if you do not make better grades in 3 weeks, then you really do need to LISTEN TO WHAT I JUST SAID.

Well,

Before you read, I have a macbook, and I’m also getting a macbookpro soon. I guess there are alot of reasons why to put xp on a mac. I’m not going to be getting rid of my Leopard, just run xp inside it. The major reason is my School. Down here where I live, people are too acustomed to Windows. Some have even already gone to vista. I even myself had tried vista on another laptop (hp pavilion dv6000). At that time, I realized that windows has been going down hill. So for myself, I bought a mac. But back onto the point, My school is using xp and soon switching to vista. Although I am switching schools and they will still be puting xp on their’s, I decided to put xp on mine. #2 reason why is I need a couple of programs in XP. I know this sounds crazy but I like some programs still. For example, I think imovie is too basic of a Movie editor, and Final Cut is too extreme. I already had Pinnicle Studio for it so Why not just use it. #3 is just wanting to see what comes out. Although I will not be puting Vista on my mac, I want to see how the newer Windows OS is in 2009. #4- Better things in XP than Leopard, In overall, Leopard is a better Operating System. It’s more user friendly, better software for free, etc… but in little things that I like, XP is somewhat better. Not that I can’t do it in leopard because I know I probably can, but I already know how to use it in XP. I will be learning how to do this stuff later though. And finally, #5 is that I am a multi-os person. I cannot deal with just 1 OS. I don’t know how anyone can. I had been running Ubuntu in my old HP and i liked dual running it with xp. So, even though I probably won’t be putting linux in my mac, I like 2 or more Operating Systems Running. It may slow down my computer, but that’s What Buying RAM is for.

Buying your new computer is a tough choice to make. It depends on what you do for a living (EX. School, Business, Music, etc…) One way to decide if your a desktop or a notebook user is if your on the go all the time or a stay at home person. If you like the desktop, but your on the go sometimes and you have enough money, you can get both. Now that’s settled, so you can start choosing what type you want. As a fellow student, A macbook is a perfect machine for all students, If you can afford it. If you can’t afford it, I might recommend an HP Pavilion Notebook (My old one is the dv6000) which is a $600 laptop. Others under that category is a cheap Dell. For a Major Business person, Macbook Pro’s are perfect. Any Mac can dual run or just regularly run Windows. It is considered one of the greatest laptops in the world and is perfect for anyone under that sort. For desktops, I would consider a Gateway or a Dell. Macs is also a good choice. For any other choices, you can look into any particular sort you want.

One way to NOT be CHEATED on the COST of RAM is too NOT BUY RAM OFF APPLE.COM. i just ordered a new macbook off there and I new what to do and what NOT to do. I went to the store and got 2GB of RAM for about $75 which is a fair price. On apple.com it costs $150 for 2GB and $850 for 4GB so I just chose the store. When choosing RAM, be sure to ask your retailer what type of RAM you should get for your specific computer. Computer vary in all sorts for RAM. This is a major part cause otherwise the RAM will be no use. Check your local stores for more info.

Get a Free Audio Book

Are you tired of reading books? Me too. Over the years, I developed pulpuslaceratapohobia - and the only known cure for that is Audible. Finally, a way to digest words without actually having to read them. Professional voices are wonderful choices if you love literary works in audio format. Are you ready to read some audio books? Maybe you should just listen to them instead.

VMware and Parallels for Virtual Machines

It doesn't matter if you're running on Windows or Mac OS X - every power user needs either Parallels or VMware (or both). There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with VMware and/or Parallels.
