Bronchitis Sucks!

Two weeks later and sitting at the same 19 pounds down. I was fighting what I thought at the time was a common cold, but what turned out to be bronchitis. I have never experienced this before and it really sucks. I was at the gym on the treadmill and was having problems getting a deep breath, which is crucial when exercising. Breathing properly helps tremendously during physical exertion. I teach my football players proper breathing techniques during practice so they can get the most out of it.
I fought through it for 30 minutes until I started feeling very dizzy. Realizing I was in trouble, I backed off but it took another ten minutes for me to stop feeling woozy. A trip to the doctor resulted in prescriptions for anti-biotics and steroids for a couple weeks. I am at the end of those two weeks and feel much better, but there is still a little lingering cough and constriction in the lungs that I am having checked out.
It has been tough not being able to work out. I forgot how much I enjoy free weights, and I found that my initial unease with the local Golds Gym was unfounded. In fact I found that there were plenty of machines even during the busiest times and the other members were very helpful once they saw me coming in every day.
I plan to resume my attack on fat cells Monday February 5th, right after the first month weigh in is due.
