Alternative to VMware

As you know, or will know, VMware’s workstation is not free. A license costs like $100, which is a pretty big price. It’s understandable why they would charge your such a high fee. I mean software that handle virtual computers with the extra feature of snapshops is a lot of code to write for programmers. But what if I have found an alternative that is open-source and about as good as VMware. You might even forget about VMware after that.
Virtual Box has all the same features of VMware except minor features such as multiple monitors and it’s more configurable than VMware. Virtual Box can handle mulitple machines, it can run mulitple machines, and yes, it even supports snapshots, though it hasn’t caught of with VMware’s feature of creating a snapshot while running the machine. Even so, it’s still a great free alternative to VMware’s software.

VMplayer and server are both free, btw. You can create machines with either.
