If you’re reading this page now, you’re more than likely wondering what I could possibly be talking about. Well I’m going to tell you. First off, when back in the days of XP and first getting the Operating System on a new computer, I was pretty excited about the how new it looked and all the new features, but over a year the new look of XP got really boring. I mean I got tired of looking at it and yeah you could change different variations like silver or green, but it doesn’t take long for those to get boring too. It was time for a change in the way Windows looks. I wanted my computer to look different than everyone else’s. I wanted my computer to look unique and something that expresses me. So I found a very good customization program that does exactly what I want. Windowblinds changes the way your Operating System will look and you can pick from over 1000 skins what you want your windows to look like. Windowblinds is also capable of skinning every part of Vista too.

The nice thing about Windowblinds is that on most computers it will actually make the computer go faster when a skin is applied. The reason is the skins are painted using hardware acceleration, not software acceleration like what XP uses to apply it’s themes. I have an almost 5 year old desktop and it runs faster with a skin applied, which at first I didn’t think it was true, but I tried the XP theme and the classic theme and the computer just didn’t go as fast.
